Andre Guirard was misplaced by his parents at an early age and so was raised primarily by Lemmings. Fortunately they had TV and Comic Books, so he was not denied the Benefits of Culture. However, he annoyed the Lemmings by constantly asking Why this and Why that, so they sent him off to School. He annoyed the people at School too, but they were Stuck with him. Andre sought Extraterrestrials for a while, but they are a reclusive bunch, so he decided to write Fiction instead. But first he had to Suffer, to give his writing Depth. So he became a Computer Programmer.
