We are collecting stories, poems, photos and art work about rivers.

We are looking for subtly creepy poems and stories, along the lines of HH Munro, who used the pen name Saki.  We are not looking for gory horror stories. 

The day after Halloween is All Saints Day.  The Day of the Dead Collection  has been posted.  We are accepting work for the 2006 Day of the Dead collection.

Bucktown is an area of New Orleans near Lake Pontchartrain.    We are seeking stories about our Bucktown photos.  We are also seeking more Bucktown photos.  If you are unfamiliar with Bucktown, just use your imagination.

We want to share your Mardi Gras stories.  Keep it clean, if possible.

The Moviegoer Collection has been posted, but we could add to it.  We are looking for stories about movies and movie theaters, including (but not limited to) stories about going to the movies before it was possible to rent videos or see movies on HBO.

We are looking for facts or fiction about the Pontalba buildings overlooking Jackson Square in New Orleans.

The Writing on Writing collection has been posted.  Let us know if you have any work to add.
We are looking for works of around 1000 words or less concerning publishing and writing.

The Hemingway v. Stevens collection has been posted, but we continue to seek work on the subject of the 1936 Ernest Hemingway v. Wallace Stevens fist fight.

"Making groceries" means "grocery shopping" in much of New Orleans.  We are seeking work involving grocery shopping, in New Orleans or elsewhere.  We are seeking photos or graphics for use as cover art  with written material.  Making Groceries collection has been posted, but we would still consider adding work to this collection. 

Send us your feud story.  Change the names and details so no one gets killed.

We are calling for a story board, or photographs of a mock-up of a little theater or puppet theater show which could be presented on the website as a slideshow or a photo gallery with captions.  Puppets, if used, could be hands, drawings or actual puppets the artist might make.  Painted hands with black light, or other sophisticated theater lighting might be effective.  The "stage" might just be a window.  It does not have to have curtains.  The story does not have to be for children. 

Please see the submission procedure for graphics (below) before sending or undertaking work.  This is particularly important with the theater project, so that applicants might know in advance if their proposed project is appropriate to the objectives of the editors.
